Was contacted by Generac after emailing the CEO. They're swapping out the defective generator for another new one.

Purchased an XG10000E 10kw generator in April 2018. We had a power outage earlier this week so I fired it up in hopes of restoring power to our house.

Both the 30 amp and 50 amp breakers on the generator tripped. It wasn't even hooked up to the house yet. Tried to turn them back on - the 30 amp breaker handle snapped off completely, the 50 amp breaker handle broke off one of the "legs" of the breaker switch. I contacted customer "service" who said I need to get the thing fixed.

I replied back that "fixed" is unacceptable - this is a brand new generator & I want it replaced. They never bothered to reply back. I wrote to the CEO, Aaron Jagdfeld to complain about the product and the customer service.

Never received the courtesy of a reply. Even if it's fixed, I have NO confidence in this thing to work properly in the future.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $2100.

Preferred solution: REPLACE THE GENERATOR WITH ANOTHER ONE!.
